This opportunity seeks experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support K-12 students in a full-time, contract role within a public school setting in Theodore, AL. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about providing speech therapy services to young learners across multiple schools. The assignment runs from ASAP through May 22, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services to students primarily in grades K-5 within assigned schools.
- Provide support at multiple locations including elementary and middle schools, managing an itinerant caseload.
- Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists and school staff to implement individualized therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing and educational guidelines relevant to SLPA practice.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with the Board of Speech Examiners as an SLPA.
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in elementary settings, preferred.
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload efficiently across several schools.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with public school protocols and compliance standards.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is onsite only in Theodore, AL, within the Mobile school district.
- Full-time schedule of approximately 35 hours per week.
